Breaking Taboo is dedicated to mental health awareness and suicide prevention education. Their message is that mental health is just as important as physical health – and should be treated that way.
Breaking Taboo needed a website that was more modern and easy to use. The old website wasn’t terrible, but there was no strategy behind the design or site architecture. Important information was hard to find. They had an in-house developer, but needed someone to create the design that the developer could work off.
I created a new, modern design in Figma— based on solid research and strategy. A new color scheme was implemented to lift the site up from dreary and depressing, to colors that were more reflective of the important messaging they wanted to communicate. Impactful photos were used at the top of important landing pages to grab attention, along with a branded color palette for each landing page that integrated into their broader marketing strategy. The Figma project was then handed off to the in-house developer.
